By way of intro... Greetings all; I thought I would do a short intro since I'll be subjecting you folks to my musings/rantings/etc. on some semi-regular basis. ;) I'm a 38 year old, geeky, athletic butch in Portland. My loves are my cats, reading, cooking, movies (both *good* ones and B-grade horror and sci-fi) and drumming (drum circle type stuff). I live in NoPo with two and a half housemates, two cats and a dog. Being a geek, I like to think that I have a few brain cells I can rub together and generate some heat. My passions are education, the Open Source/Free Software movement (I teach classes at Freegeek), diminishing the digital divide and incorporating rationality and spirituality into some kind of semi-coherent worldview. I believe in: education as a liberating force in the world; being a lesbian can be great for a womans' well-being; science as a candle in the dark; long wet kisses that last for days; food as seduction; that big women are beautiful women; treating a lady like a Lady. D&D Not in a very long time...although when I did play, when I was a wee-babydyke (and not even realizing * *was* one) I would always play monks or paladins who were these lone, standing-tall, amazons...go figure. (Yes, I was pathetiy clueless) Btw. for the SF women--you mean I'd have had dates when I lived in SF if I'd just advertised that I cooked?

well, I'm not 'unfortunate' looking dev; I presume by that you mean that more or less I have a shape that could be said to be vaguely humanoid and free of funk that would kill a charging rhino at a quarter mile. :) If so, I meet that criteria at minimum. And actually I did my fair share of dating--it was finding a lasting relationship that was a challenge for me in SF.
