Relocating

Relocating Hi all, I am moving to Vancouver in about 2 weeks just wondering if anyone had any advice or anything. I will be working at the aquarium and am currently looking for a 1bd apt that is furnished and takes cats. Also just wondering what the scene is like in the area for lesbians like myself. ;) So if anyone has any help at all it would be appreciative.

Don't have a ton of info but . . . I have traveled there with my wife. Seemed to be queer friendly. Also, a lovely place to live. I am jealous! If we did not have such great family support (with our 1 and 3 year old) here in California, I would so move there! Beautiful and progressive. Best of Luck! :)

Check out Superdyke.com. It's a networking/dating site that also has events listings for the area so you can get an idea of what's going on. The West End, near the aquarium, is "the gaybourhood." There's a queer center and lots of gay businesses, though the area tends to be a bit male centered. East Van also has a pretty strong queer community. Lick is the lesbian club in town and I've never actually been, but I hear it's good and I like some of the other clubs owned by the same people.

Re: relocation to Van Hi there, my landlord has furnished places for rent around Vancouver. I could ask if there is one avail if you like. They range from 1200 and up. It's hard to find places here if you don't have local references, and also if you have pets.
